11 / 2 / 2012 As per normal, U.K.P.C. are not standing still. We now have Alan (julies brother) in our office team. his role will be as office manager, with a leaning towards progressing to having everything on computer, which will enable us to drastically reduce the paper work and accounting side of the business, hopefully cutting down on  man hours (or in our case woman hours ).
Just a reminder. Out of all the original "NEW GENERATION COURIERS", we are "The only survivors". One of our claims to fame was establishing the link with SPDS, to make SCOTLAND a viable option. SPDS themselves went into liquidation only last autumn. Immediately we took on a direct driver  (twice snfc fancier of the year) in the edinburgh area , to enable us to cover as far as dundee, up to twice weekly.  THATS DOVER TO DUNDEE OVERNIGHT / PENZANCE TO DUNDEE OVERNIGHT.
The North of Scotland is a bit more difficult,  (once monthly over the winter).I went up only last week, setting off at 2.30a.m. Thursday morning. first stop , our scottish drivers in edinburgh, as he was delivering the birds I dropped  in KA / G / FK / EH. then onwards and upwards into Perth, Aberdeen, Peterhead, into the hills, then Macduff, Elgin,Iinverurie, Aberdeen pick up, before stopping overnight in Dundee around 7.30pm. Friday Morning a 6am start through Fife /Edinburgh/ The Borders / North east down to Yorkshire . final pick up being box's for the following week. Those 2 days cost me. we earned NIL / ZILCH / NOTHING, but If you all work together, I will do my utmost , to provide a service as far as Inverness. I am hoping for every fortnight during the squeaker season, but we need your solid support. THIS APPLIES TO EVERY AREA. the more pigeons we do in every area , it makes us more viable, thus enabling us to offer a better future service, whilst  keep realistic prices.

The House of Aarden in conjunction with UKPC, Steve & Lesley Wright, Enjoyed a fantastic busy weekend on the U.K. Pigeon Couriers Stand at Blackpool 2012. A fantastic array of quality birds for the first time at Blackpool

25 / 1 / 2012 Phew !!!. Another hectic weekend at Blackpool. We had a fantastic time meeting all our old friends and customers, plus of course the customers who we have not met before. Its good for myself and the girls to put faces to names. One of the things that we really appreciate is the feedback we get from you, all weekend long people were coming up to us, and thanking us for the service we operate. The house of aarden birds on our stand kept us 5 and 6 deep from the word go on saturday. The only downside was "THE THIEF", yes we had one of Julies White Grizzles taken from the pens. Our pricing still seems a bit vague, so, one of the jobs I am hoping to do in the near future is produce a leaflet with the appropriate price by a postcode. as per our normal, please ask the price when booking. Once again Julie , Helen , The Staff and myself thank you for your support Dave

Progress on the new "shell" stand at Blackpool is coming into shape. Our presence at Blackpool is purely as the U.k.'s Largest Couriers we like to be there to promote our company. As you can imagine, this costs a pretty penny, So Once again to offset costs, we are selling a few selected 2011 birds of our own, and acting as Agents for The House Of Aarden, who will have 40 Jan Aarden based pigeons on our stand..Come and introduce yourself to us, as, on this busy weekend, we do not always recognise your face. And one of the main reasons we are there is to answer any Questions you may have.

4 /1 / 2012.

Throughout the christmas period, although the office has been closed, time has been spent preparing for the forth coming year. Besides having our team of drivers based in Cheshire, we also have working for us direct dedicated drivers in Essex, Scotland, and Cornwall. on the office side we have a new member of Staff joining us at the end of January, who will streamline the office side.
One of our main concerns over the last 2 years has been the ever increasing fuel prices. Due to our success,
we have reached a point where we have to become vat registered. All our deliverys will be priced dependent upon postcodes. prices starting from £35 . As Fanciers ourselves, we do not want to put increases in place, without first of all stream lining the office side. The more we are supported by the fanciers, the more viable we become, thus, enabling us to keep our prices fair for all.
Blackpool is only a few weeks away, then the first Squeakers will start being moved.   Dave Thornton.
20 /10/11.
We have as usual been busy over the year. Not content with standing still, we are always looking for ways of improving our service. Latest additions are moving to a new distribution unit, where we have more room, and better facilities. Also this year, due to extra work in the South, and also Scotland, we have employed 2 local area drivers to work direct for us, enableing our coverage of these areas to be more financially stable.                    Our winter Service will include a direct delivery service to Northern Scotland on a monthly basis. As far North as Inverness / Fraserburgh.
We are already busy preparing for The British Homing World Show 2012, and looking at operating a belgium / holland service.
